1. Turn dough a few times and form into ball. 2. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured board. 3. Dust a board generously with flour and turn the dough onto it. 4. If using food processor, remove metal blade, place a large plastic bag over top of workbowl, invert bowl and turn dough into bag. 5. Lightly oil a large bowl or pot and place dough into it, turning dough until all sides are greased. 6. Never turn the dough over, nor press down on the ends, McConnell cautioned. 7. Place dough in the bowl and turn dough over so top is oiled. 8. Put the dough back in the bowl, turning the dough over to coat it all over with the butter. 9. Spread a piece of plastic wrap on the counter and turn the dough out of the processor bowl onto it. 10. The dough is turned out into a big stainless steel bowl, ready for the first rise. |
