1. The wafers finished, a large pot of tea arrived with a plate of fruit cake slices. 2. Arrange remaining cake slices on top of pumpkin mixture, cutting to fit. 3. In a small bowl, mix the sherry and raspberry jam and spread over the cake slices. 4. In a trifle bowl or glass bowl, arrange the cake slices to cover the bottom. 5. Place a toasted cake slice on each plate and spoon some of the plums and sauce over. 6. Repeat layers, using remaining cake slices, pudding mixture and raspberries. 7. Repeat layering with remaining cake slices, fruit spread and ice cream. 8. Slice the cake with a knife dipped into hot water. 9. Spoon half of lemon mixture over cake slices and top with half of raspberries. 10. Spread a thin layer of the jam on half the cake slices. |
