1.   Add just enough water to moisten the cake mixture without making it too watery.

3.   After beating the cake mixture, add a handful of mixed nuts.

4.   I usually stir a generous quantity of rum into the cake mixture.

5.   Spread half the cake mixture into a greased and lined cake tin.
