1.   Add a little oil to thin the mixture.

2.   Add the butter or olive oil and a little more water if necessary to thin the mixture to desired thickness.

3.   Add just enough of the cooking liquid, about cup, to thin the mixture to a fluid sauce.

4.   Add a little water to thin the mixture.
