1.   An Islamic state, Pakistan has long supported Muslim militants who want to see Kashmir separate from Indian rule.

2.   France, the former colonial power in Algeria, is reported to have complained to the German government about groups in Germany that support militants in Algeria.

3.   He said the militants want to give the appearance that all who wear the niqab and similarly concealing articles of dress support the militants politically.

4.   India has also accused Pakistan of supporting Islamic militants in disputed Kashmir.
