1.   When the thaw comes, pay attention to how your yard is draining, especially in places where water accumulates.

2.   Also, if drains clog, standing water can accumulate around walls and damage the mortar.

3.   Atmospheric circulations direct water near the Equator west and then north, allowing the warmest surface waters to accumulate on the western edge of these oceans.
