1. Overlap the slices carefully so there are no gaps. 2. Arrange the provolone on the bottom half of the bread, overlapping the slices, then arrange the meatballs on top. 3. Arrange apples slices on top of cheese, overlapping slices to fit. 4. Alternate the remaining white and sweet potatoes for the top layer, overlapping the slices slightly. 5. In the pan, arrange a third of the remaining slices evenly, overlapping the slices in rows. 6. Lay bread evenly in dish, overlapping slices. 7. Lightly butter a baking dish and line it with bread, overlapping the slices slightly. 8. On each of four plates, arrange zucchini in a circle, overlapping slices to form a ring. 9. Place the challah in the dish, overlapping the slices and cutting them as necessary to cover the surface. 10. Starting with white potatoes, cover the bottom of the pan with slightly overlapping slices. |
