1.   Witnesses working near the river bank in Gloucester where a body was found the next day, told the jury at Bristol Crown Court of hearing screams.

2.   Later that night townspeople reported hearing screams and two shots.

4.   The last-ditch effort was launched Wednesday after workers at a nearby television tower reported hearing screams coming from below.
