1.   Dissolve cornstarch into the water and stir into cocoa and sugar until it is a smooth paste.

2.   In a small bowl, stir cornstarch into cold water until dissolved.

3.   Put the wine and cornstarch into a jar, screw on the lid and shake until well mixed.

4.   Stir the cornstarch into a bit of water and when smooth add to the pan juices to thicken.

5.   Whisk cornstarch into amaretto until dissolved.

6.   Whisk cornstarch into syrup until mixture is free of lumps.
