11.   Cream sugar, salt and shortening.

12.   Cream together sugar, butter and vegetable shortening until light and fluffy.

13.   In a large mixing bowl, cream sugar and oil until well blended.

14.   In a large mixing bowl, cream sugar and remaining butter.

15.   In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream remaining sugar and butter until very smooth.

16.   With an electric mixer on medium to high speed, cream sugar and shortening in a mixing bowl.
