1. Wipe the surface with a clean dry cloth. 2. Before applying any finish, wipe the surface with mineral spirits or turpentine. 3. Clean kitchen sink and wipe range surfaces, including the microwave. 4. Dip a sponge in ammonia and wipe the surface. 5. Do not wipe the surface with a soiled dishwashing cloth or towel. 6. For the final cleanup, dampen a clean cotton cloth with alcohol and wipe the surface using a circular motion. 7. Often wiping the surfaces with acetone or naphtha will remove the oil or resin. 8. They also will use sterile gauze to wipe surfaces and then check the gauze for anthrax. 9. To gather samples of paint dust, wipe dusty surfaces with a thin, non-alcohol based Baby Wipe. 10. When painting raw wood, first wipe the surface with a damp rag to remove dust. |
