1. At the southern boundary of the unusual chill a slowly developing storm will bring clouds and patchy precipitation from the central Gulf Coast to the Carolinas. 2. A developing storm will push northeast toward the lower Mississippi Valley Monday. 3. A developing offshore storm will send rain toward the New England Coast later Monday. 4. A developing storm over the Rockies will bring several inches of snow to southern Montana and Wyoming. 5. A ribbon of moisture will link the East Coast disturbance with a developing storm over the northwest Plains. 6. Farther north, a few snow showers will develop in the central Mississippi Valley on Saturday afternoon as colder air is drawn into the developing storm. 7. Later in the day, high pressure will move offshore allowing clouds from the developing storm to spread into most areas west of the Appalachians. 8. Meanwhile, a rapidly developing storm will bring wet weather to the Northeast on Monday with drier conditions arriving in its wake for the remainder of the week. 9. Some were caught off-guard by the rapidly developing storm while a few said they needed to stay behind to protect property. 10. The faster the jet stream, the more air it whisks away from the area of a developing storm below it. |
