1.   An isolated storm or two will approach severe levels, with damaging straight-line winds posing the main threat for severe weather.

2.   Ample sunshine will be seen in the interior West with isolated afternoon storms in many of the mountains.

3.   As the warm air intercepts an approaching cold front, isolated storms will erupt in the Dakotas.

4.   Ahead of the front, isolated severe storms will erupt in Montana.

5.   Elsewhere, the West will stay mainly dry, with ample sun, though isolated storms will form near the Mexico border.

6.   Farther northeast, scattered showers and isolated storms will develop over parts of the northern Rockies in response to a jet stream disturbance.

7.   Florida will remain warm and humid with isolated storms possible.

8.   Florida will remain partly to mostly sunny though isolated storms will affect the panhandle.

9.   High pressure will suppress thunderstorms in most places, though isolated storms will develop later Tuesday, particularly near the Gulf Coast.

10.   In central Texas, isolated strong storms will erupt near the leading edge of a very dry air mass.
