1.   The keyword PREFERRED-ISSUE-IN-FILE relates to the version of the module recommended for use by its module manager.

2.   Whenever a module is created in LIFESPAN it is assigned to a module manager, who remains responsible for it as long as it exists.

3.   The module manager is responsible for a particular module throughout its life.

4.   Intended audience programmers, module managers, and quality assurers.

5.   Again the LIFESPAN manager receives a summary and the module managers receive a list of their modules and versions which have been deleted.

6.   The preferred version is generally the version of the module which the module manager recommends for use.

7.   This defaults to the current module manager.
