1. With each warm spell tundra and forest edges have moved north, only to be forced south again during cooler spells. 2. This warm spell has given us a reprieve from the winter cold. 3. As soon as the requisite number of cold days are past, buds will begin to form after the first good warm spell. 4. A cold front will progress across the Plains, ending the warm spell in western sections. 5. A brief, intense warm spell during the middle of the month caused the city to have one of its warmest Aprils. 6. A mound of chilly air in eastern Canada will slowly seep southward Monday, ending the recent warm spell across interior northern New England. 7. But moisture gathering across south Texas will spread northeast Thursday, tempering the fledgling warm spell. 8. Chilly air from the North Atlantic will circulate into coastal New England, ending their short-lived warm spell. 9. Colder air will end the warm spell across the interior Northeast and Middle Atlantic states. 10. Double the normal amount of precipitation, coupled with an extended warm spell, in New York. |
