1.   Two former vice mayors of the southern Chinese town of Shaoguan have been formally charged with corruption, the China News Service said Monday.

2.   Xu, as senior vice mayor oversaw economic matters, and has been credited with much of these changes.

3.   Similar investigations led to the suicide earlier this month of vice mayor Wang, who was also president of the Beijing planning commission.

4.   The only incumbent to remain in power from the previous administration was Li Decheng who was made vice mayor.
