1.   Be sure to scrape the sides down occasionally.

2.   Beat at low speed of electric mixer for half a minute, scraping sides of bowl constantly.

3.   Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally.

4.   Add broth, garlic and lemon juice to pan, scraping sides.

5.   Add flour mixture to egg mixture, beating on low speed just until smooth, and scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally.

6.   Add the eggs, one at a time, and beat well, stopping to scrape the sides of the bowl.

7.   Continue to cream, stopping the mixer and scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally.

8.   First remove excess paint from the bristles by scraping the sides of the brush on the rim of the paint can.

9.   Fold in about a third of the flour mixture, then half the milk, scraping the sides of the bowl and folding just until ingredients are incorporated.

10.   Gradually add sugar, scraping sides of bowl as needed.
