1.   Before Wednesday, Bush had demanded several times that Sharon withdraw his troops from recently occupied Palestinian-controlled towns.

2.   Empty or recently occupied homes were not counted.

3.   The Security Council called a meeting for late Thursday to discuss a Palestinian demand for the immediate withdrawal of Israeli troops from recently occupied areas in the West Bank.

4.   He called on Israel to pull its forces out of recently occupied Palestinian territories.
