1.   A cold front crossing the Pacific Northwest will produce periods of rain near the coast and scattered showers farther inland.

2.   A strengthening area of low pressure in the northern Plains will produce periods of showers and thunder from the Missouri Valley to the southern Canadian Prairie Wednesday.

3.   A strong storm will move out of the Rockies onto the central Plains on Sunday, producing periods of rain from the northern Mississippi Valley to central Kansas.

4.   In the far West, a surge of warm, moist air will produce periods of rain along the Northwest coast.

5.   Meanwhile, another fast-moving disturbance will streak east producing a period of cold rain in the Tennessee Valley.

6.   Potent low pressure moving east through the central Plains on Thursday morning and afternoon will produce periods of rain from the Missouri Valley to the southern Great Lakes.

7.   Some of these showers may produce brief periods of heavy rainfall.

8.   This front will intercept very warm and humid air, producing periods of heavy rain from Wisconsin to Nebraska.

9.   Isolated showers may still produce brief periods of heavy rain, but widespread activity is not expected.

10.   Other patches of clouds and showers will be transported west over the islands by the moderate easterly trade winds, producing intermittent periods of clouds and showers.
