1.   He said early this year, millers promised not to hike prices when the government allowed a rise in padi prices.

2.   In Kota Baru, Bernama reported that the Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat welcomed the move to increase padi price.

3.   Padiberas Nasional chairman Ruhanie Ahmad said Bernas would abide by the decision of the Government to raise padi prices.

4.   This is because padi farmers have just started harvesting their crops and the higher padi price means more income for them this time around.
