1. During a period of calm that evening, Ruth and I went to the outlet pool. 2. Late in the day, the skies cleared and Dick and Liz went to the outlet pool in his pontoon boat. 3. Only fly fishing is allowed on the river downstream to a clearly marked spot below the outlet pool called Cedar Stump. 4. Returning to the outlet pool, we found three wading anglers. 5. Ruth and I canoed about a mile upriver to the outlet pool, just below the final rapids. 6. The following afternoon we spent a few hours at the outlet pool. 7. The outlet pool is best covered from a boat anchored among the rocks at the tail end of the rapids. 8. These fish were caught at the outlet pool which is less than a mile upstream from his camp and the end of the line for boat fishermen. 9. Three other boats were on the river that day, as were three anglers who had walked down to the outlet pool from upriver. 10. When Ruth and I canoed to the outlet pool the afternoon of our first full day at camp, it was clear that things had changed. |
