1.   Books on hunting may be banned from public libraries by a county council which has voted to outlaw fox hunting on its land.

2.   I strongly disagree with the letter from Stephen Loveridge who claimed that MPs voting for the recent Bill to outlaw fox hunting were not voting against cruelty.

3.   Instead, he believes coyote hunting should be outlawed in the wolf recovery area.

4.   Last year, a bill that would have outlawed fox hunting was defeated in the House of Commons by only a dozen votes.

5.   Nearly all of the governments of countries with tiger populations have passed laws to protect tigers or outlaw hunting, Burma being a glaring exception.

6.   Ohio will decide whether to outlaw the hunting of mourning doves.

7.   Both sides agree that the Endangered Species Act outlaws direct hunting, trapping or killing of endangered and threatened species of animals.

8.   If controversial new laws are passed, Scotland would be the first part of Britain to outlaw fox hunting.

9.   Members of parliament will vote during the next two days whether to outlaw hunting altogether, allow it under strict restrictions or maintain the status quo.
