1. A few showers will return to the Southwest as tropical moisture streams northward from the Gulf of California. 2. A swath of clouds will move across upstate New York and into central New England as moisture streams eastward from the Great Lakes. 3. Heavy rains will douse parts of New England on Thursday as tropical moisture streams inland over a stalled front off the Northeast coast. 4. Isolated thunderstorms will grow over the northern Sierra and central Cascades as filaments of moisture stream inland from the Pacific. 5. More heavy rain is likely along the Southeast Coast as tropical moisture streams north ahead of Harvey. 6. Mostly cloudy, showery weather will dampen much of Texas as moisture streams north from the Gulf of Mexico. 7. Nonetheless, heavy rains will invade southern and central parts of the Florida peninsula as tropical moisture streams northeastward into the region. 8. Rain will dampen much of the Pacific Northwest from western Oregon to western Washington as Pacific moisture streams inland ahead of an approaching cold front from the Pacific. 9. Rain will fall from central Oregon across much of northern and central California as moisture streams inland ahead of a cold front. 10. Rain will approach the southern Gulf Coast states and northwestern Florida Wednesday as moisture streams east from the western Gulf of Mexico. |
