1.   Among other leading competitors will be LPGA money list leader Annika Sorenstam and defending Evian champion Rachel Teske.

2.   By the end of August, Montgomerie expects to leapfrog Masters champion Jose Maria Olazabal, the current money list leader.

3.   The Open will see APGA Tour list leader Lin Keng-chi as well as local professionals Kyi Hla Han and Zaw Moe, taking part.

4.   Masters champion Jose Maria Olazabal and Italian Costantino Rocca shared second place with money list leader Colin Montgomerie fourth.
