1. One painter says to use latex finish paint. 2. Apply a coat of latex enamel undercoater, and finish with two coats of an eggshell finish latex wall paint. 3. Apply an oil-based primer, and finish with any kind of oil-based finish paint. 4. Apply one coat of a latex enamel undercoater and finish with one or two coats of an eggshell or flat finish latex wall paint. 5. A. Cleaning may reduce the stains, but I think there should be some kind of stain killer applied before the finish paint is put on. 6. A. Prime the pressboard shelves on all surfaces with an oil-based interior primer, and finish with a latex enamel or latex eggshell finish paint. 7. But to get to the question, apply two thin coats of an eggshell finish latex wall paint. 8. Do not use a semigloss or eggshell finish paint because the plaster is rough and often uneven, and these blemishes will show up more with such a finish. 9. I used two coats of Kilz and finish paint, then a coat of exterior latex primer, and a coat of Kilz, and it is still bleeding. |
