1.   I tried to arrange guides on the drum sander but quickly gave up.

2.   A few drum sanders accept sandpaper belts or sleeves, but the standard drum configuration has a loading slot that grips both ends of a flat sandpaper sheet.

3.   I have spoken to two carpenters about this and one advised using a rotary sander, while the other said that a drum sander should be used.
