1.   In short, though not yet fully attained, political democracy had become respectable, and Socialism had become arguable.

2.   We cannot let our democracy become a matter of simply giving a bunch of politicians a blank cheque to govern us every five years.

3.   Second, it is questionable how far militarization.remains a serious check on industrial action now that democracy has become more securely established in Spain.

4.   As other western democracies have become less authoritarian, Britain has become more so.

5.   But if Iranian democracy now becomes a reality, these arguments are going to collapse.

6.   But they do not seem to understand how corrupted in many ways this democracy has become.

7.   Democracy has become an almost religious imperative.

8.   Democracy will then become a reality and that will be an important part of the political reform.

9.   If this happens, our nation will be reduced to a repressive, authoritarian or dictatorial state, and democracy will become an illusion, a word without meaning.

10.   Second, democracy may easily become coercion of the minority by the majority.
