1. Dancers came on from both sides of the stage. 2. As far as Feiffer can remember, he said the dancer was never modeled on his wife, Jenny, but the dancer did come to represent Feiffer himself. 3. But occasionally dancers come along whose artistry, stage presence, personality and fiery temperament make them stand out from the crowd. 4. Dancers come in a variety of shapes, and most perform to please themselves, not to fulfill the fantasies of their audience. 5. That trend appears, blessedly, to have died out, though several dancers came close. 6. The dancers may come and go, but their flourishes with Philadanco add up to an exhilarating elegance. 7. The energy is directed upward and when the dancers come to rest, they lunge forward, palms pushed toward the audience. 8. The Juilliard dancers came amazingly close to the power of the Taylor troupe in this staging by Linda Kent. 9. The set is framed by four monstrous, imitation-stone monoliths, inscribed with Druidic swirls, from which the dancers come bursting like banshees. 10. These young dancers came surprisingly close to matching the level of dancing in the senior company. |
