1.   Older audiences will get a kick out of the pop culture references, especially because Disney has as a good time poking fun at itself.

2.   Reiner, along with screenwriters Alan Zweibel and Andrew Scheinman, load these scenes with witty pop culture references.

3.   Tarantino incorporates noir elements into a larger framework of pop culture references.

4.   The film is also a gazetteer of popular culture references, but it takes on a winning life of its own.

5.   There are shirts for obscure bands, unknown outside of Asia anime characters, ironic pop culture references, Fat Albert and Mr. Bubbles.

6.   This is slightly amusing, but Berlanti is once again trying too hard to inject pop culture references into the film.
