A series of potent disturbances will flood into the Northwest, bringing windswept heavy rain to coastal sections and heavy snow to the interior mountains. 4. But local sea breezes will keep coastal sections about ten degrees cooler. 5. But persistent low clouds will shroud coastal sections of Washington and southern California. 6. Cool, moist air from the Pacific will be drawn into coastal sections of central and southern California, prompting morning fog and low clouds. 7. Cool, moist winds will dominate coastal sections, however, producing areas of locally dense morning fog. 8. Farther north, showers are likely in coastal sections of Washington and Oregon, while snow showers develop in the northern Cascades. 9. Heat will build across much of California, though light onshore winds will keep coastal sections cooler with patchy early low clouds. 10. In California, morning clouds will yield slowly to afternoon sun near coastal sections while ample sunshine continues throughout the interior. |
