1.   As a former dancer with Merce Cunningham, whose choreography eschews personal meaning in favor of chance procedures, Greenberg had entered forbidden territory.

2.   Cunningham still uses chance procedures as a tool, and tosses coins to determine which movement will follow which and how many dancers will be on stage.
