1.   Apply a bead of silicon caulk around the base and also around the edge of the sink where it contacts the wall.

2.   Apply a bead of caulk to the face of the casing all around the opening.

3.   Apply a bead of white latex or acrylic caulk in the joint, then smooth it off with your finger.

4.   Apply several beads of the caulk on the concrete where the tread will go, then press the tread in place, so that the tread flattens those beads.

5.   Be sure to apply a bead of caulk at the perimeter of the tread to keep out water.

6.   Before applying a bead of caulk to a crack or joint clean the joint by removing dirt, debris or old caulk.

7.   If the veneer is very thin, you can apply a bead of adhesive caulk to the groove and press the veneer back.

8.   Press down on the patch to distribute the roofing cement underneath, then apply a bead of roofing cement around the edges.

9.   Then apply a bead of glazing compound.
