1. Clouds of soot and oily particles obscured the sun and led to downpours of black rain in northern Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. 2. These produced a thick black smoke cloud, dense enough to obscure the sun in Kuwait, northern Saudi Arabia and southern Iraq. 3. There was a high wind and clouds scudded across the blue sky and when the sun was obscured the wind seemed cold. 4. An area of high and middle clouds will obscure the sun in the southern Rockies and parts of Texas. 5. A veil of cirrus clouds will obscure the sun from Texas to the interior Southeast. 6. Brisk even in clear weather, the air turns raw whenever clouds obscure the sun. 7. Clouds will obscure the sun in most places due to Atlantic moisture flowing inland, but rain is not expected. 8. Even when out, the sun is usually obscured by clouds. 9. Farther inland, patches of puffy cumulus clouds will obscure the sun at times from northern Pennsylvania to upstate New York and interior New England. |
