1.   Casing Nails -- Resemble finishing nails, but are larger in diameter, stronger and have greater holding power.

2.   Coat the beveled ends with a little glue before assembling and secure the joint with one or two small finishing nails or brads.

3.   Finishing nails are used for cabinetry and molding.

4.   Most window frames are held in place with finishing nails that go through the inner and outer casings into the wall studs.

5.   Narrow moldings will be held in place with finishing nails driven through the face of the piece into the jamb.

6.   Put the window back into the opening and tack it in place by driving finishing nails through the trim into the wall.

7.   Secure the jamb with new finishing nails, but leave the heads protruding slightly in case you have to make adjustments when the doors are in place.

8.   Smaller finishing nails are called brads.

9.   Tap the new board in place and secure it with finishing nails.

10.   The tank contained hundreds of salmon fry no larger than wire finishing nails.
