1. Along the advancing edge of warmer air, morning thunderstorms will occur in parts of the Mississippi Valley. 2. Although very rare, thunderstorms have occurred in the past over extreme northern Alaska, but never at the official reporting site. 3. As a result, isolated strong thunderstorms will occur in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado. 4. As developing breezes from the east moisten on ascent, scattered showers and thunderstorms will occur from eastern Montana to northeast Colorado. 5. A few strong thunderstorms will occur in the humid air near the Carolina and Georgia coast. 6. A few strong thunderstorms will occur to the west of the crest of the Appalachians, especially where some hazy sunshine adds fuel to the sultry air mass. 7. A few gusty thunderstorms will occur across the northern Rockies as a cool front pushes through western Montana. 8. A few thunderstorms will occur in the sultry air over the southern Plains. 9. A few strong thunderstorms will occur near a cold front advancing through the northwestern Rockies. 10. Afternoon thunderstorms will occur from the Carolinas to Texas. |
