1. If so, the taper should face away from the slip nut. 2. Place a bucket under the sink and unscrew the slip nuts that hold the drain trap in place. 3. The drain sections are held in place with slip nuts and washers. 4. The trap is held in place by two slip nuts. 5. To assemble the pieces slide the slip nut, followed by the washer, over the unthreaded end of the pipe. 6. This will keep the wrench from marring the finish on the slip nuts. 7. Tighten the slip nuts. 8. Usually the pipes are joined together with slip nuts. 9. When all the pieces are in place, hand-tighten the slip nuts, then run water through the drain. |
