1.   In April, the Toronto Star reported instances of ordinary American citizens being interrogated by FBI agents about their criticism of the war on terrorism.

2.   Independent monitors reported instances of multiple voting.

3.   Instances are reported in which some card companies have mailed the cards out too late in the season to be of much use.

4.   Meanwhile, as the outage continues, some utilities reported more instances of customers interrupting repair crews in efforts to get them to come to their homes.

5.   Officials also have reported numerous instances in Texas and Arizona of livestock and backyard pets being stung to death.

6.   So far, a few instances have been reported in which party loyalists have given in to old temptations, although such cases have been surprisingly rare.

7.   The most damning study, issued by former US Attorney Wayne Budd, reported instances of police misconduct that did not rise to the level of criminal prosecutions.

8.   Throughout the United States, in almost every sport in every region, officials are reporting increasing instances of verbal abuse, attempted intimidation and even physical assault.

9.   Aid workers and other foreign visitors to the impoverished nation, which preaches self-reliance as a guiding philosophy, have reported numerous instances of serious hunger and malnutrition.

10.   Nonetheless, police reported few instances of unruliness.
