1.   An alternative to turning off individual circuit breakers or removing individual fuses is to cut power to the whole house.

2.   A second person stands at the service panel to remove fuses or turn circuit breakers off.

3.   Cut power to the fan circuit by disengaging the circuit breaker or removing the fuse connected to the fan.

4.   Do not attempt to remove cartridge fuses with your fingers.

5.   Remove the fuse from the panel then touch the test probes to the fuse ends.

6.   Switch off the breaker, or remove the fuse, at the main service panel.

7.   The process is the same with fuses, only you remove fuses to cut power and screw them in to turn the power on.

8.   The bomb was taken away for disposal after experts removed its fuse, the Koblenz fire department said.
