1.   If using whole canned tomatoes, place a food mill over skillet and puree tomatoes directly into it.

2.   Puree canned tomatoes with their juice and set aside.

3.   Puree tomatoes in batches in food processor.

4.   Return pureed tomatoes to skillet to reheat.
