1.   Afternoon thunderstorms will develop over the Rockies in response to a persistent monsoon circulation.

2.   Elsewhere, the monsoon circulation will continue to support scattered mountain thunderstorms in the central and southern Rockies.

3.   However, the monsoon circulation will provide expanding relief from the sweltering heat in parts of the Rockies.

4.   In the Rockies, the monsoon circulation will remain active with showers and thunder once again developing in the afternoon.

5.   Meanwhile, showers and storms will affect parts of the Southwest as the monsoon circulation, aided by moisture from decaying Tropical Storm Linda, remains active.

6.   Meanwhile, the monsoon circulation will continue to produce areas of showers in the southern Rockies.

7.   The monsoon circulation of humid air into the Southwest will produce afternoon thunder over parts of southeastern California and Nevada and much of Arizona.

8.   The monsoon circulation over the Southwest will draw humid air back into the eastern deserts with afternoon thundershowers possible in sections of southern Arizona.

9.   Thundershowers associated with the monsoon circulation of tropical moisture over New Mexico and Colorado will persist.

10.   Tropical moisture streaming into Texas will merge with the monsoon circulation over the Rockies to produce widespread thundershowers Tuesday afternoon from the Big Bend to the Four Corners.
