1.   One afternoon we paddled around a bend and heard the sweet voices of grape pickers singing in the vineyards.

2.   Other runners dressed as grape pickers, wine bottles and corks.

3.   Two years years later he moved to Stockton, Calif., to work as a grape picker.

4.   Grape pickers slowly zigzag uphill, rummaging among the green and yellow vine leaves, snipping off heavy bunches of dark red grapes and placing them carefully in buckets.
