1.   After serving in the U.S. Quartermaster Corps, he did graduate studies for the ministry at the Divinity School of the University of Chicago.

2.   But it was engineering science that absorbed him at Purdue University and led to graduate studies at the California Institute of Technology.

3.   He studied at Phillips Exeter Academy and Williams College and did graduate studies at Oxford University in England and at Union Theological Seminary.

4.   She graduated from Hunter College and did graduate studies at Columbia University.
