1.   Although Rieders faulted the FBI methods, he said the tests clearly point to the telltale chemical, EDTA, in the socks and gate blood.

2.   Scheck noted pointedly that the gate blood was collected more than three weeks after the slayings, while the drops were gathered immediately after the bodies were found.

3.   Sims testified last week that there was more DNA of a better quality extracted from the gate blood than from the blood drops leading from the bodies.

4.   The defense has suggested the gate blood was among evidence planted by police.
