1.   Industrial production figures for January and factory gate prices for February will be released on Monday.

2.   Over the past week, reports have shown a patchy increase in retail sales, slowing growth in manufacturing, subdued factory gate prices and moderate wage growth.

3.   The breakdown showed factory gate prices climbed in most industries.

4.   U.K. government bonds, or gilts, were little changed after a report of falling factory gate prices indicated inflation will remain subdued.

5.   But stock dealers in London appeared to be more influenced by figures showing that British factory gate prices had been steady in June on a monthly basis.

6.   Dealers were waiting for the publication later in the day of the US index for factory gate prices in March.

7.   The outlook for an increase in rates had been strengthened on Monday by publication of figures showing that factory gate prices had risen in March.

8.   This view had gained ground on Monday in response to what were seen as good figures for factory gate prices.

9.   West German factory gate prices rose unexpectedly sharply in February, reflecting the first inflationary effects of recovery, analysts here said on Tuesday.

10.   Later in the week, dealers will turn their attention to the publication of February factory gate prices on Thursday and the retail price index on Friday.
