1.   At the same time, McCutcheon faulted any inspectors who see diseased poultry and do not condemn it.

2.   After the inspectors complained to Cox Newspapers in February about diseased poultry being sold to consumers, plant records show there was a dramatic change.

3.   The inspectors themselves said the diseased poultry was unlikely to make anyone sick.

4.   The inspectors said that because of widespread disease in Gold Kist chicken flocks, both processing plants were being inundated with diseased poultry.
