1. Aphids harm houseplants and some crops by sapping them of their fluid and sometimes by coating the leaves with so much honeydew that mold grows, inhibiting photosynthesis. 2. A recent laboratory study coated milkweed leaves with heavy doses of pollen from so-called Bt corn. 3. Add more dressing, a little at a time, until the leaves are coated all over but not soaked. 4. Add the remaining spinach and stir quickly to coat the leaves. 5. Add enough of the dressing to coat the leaves lightly. 6. Add the spinach and stir quickly to coat the leaves with the oil. 7. Crack the egg and drop it right on the romaine leaves, then toss to break it up and coat the leaves. 8.
