1.   Most water pumps are attached to a pulley driven by a belt, commonly called a fan belt or serpentine belt.

2.   Three pumps are attached to the fuel tank, and although their electric motors are outside of the tank, a malfunction could have created a spark inside.

3.   Where they attach a pump to help push blood along, tissue tries to grow into the invader, clogging the pump and rendering it useless.

4.   An electric water pump is easily attached.
