1. At a minimum, astronomers hope to see the flash of the impact reflected off some of the nearby Jovian satellites. 2. Astronomers had hoped the comet fragments would thrust up material from deep below the clouds. 3. Astronomers hope that studying these celestial leavings can eventually help them understand the birth of the solar system and the raw materials from which it was assembled. 4. Astronomers hope to make their initial observation later this month. 5. Astronomers hope to track the path of those neutrinos back to their sources, such as distant black holes and galactic cores. 6. Astronomers hope to improve their ability to calculate the ages of the most mature stars. 7. Astronomers hope to learn what causes the jets of gas that seem to be common in starbirth environments. 8. Astronomers originally hoped that something ordinary like dim, burnt-out stars hiding in the galactic outskirts could account for the missing gravity. 9. Because the star is dropping from view at these observatories, astronomers hope to continue research at Hawaii and other sites around the world. 10. But the astronomers hope to make another set of observations to confirm their finding. |
