51.   Using the remaining royal icing and a small star tube, pipe little rosettes around the top of the body to form a heart-shaped neckline.

52.   Paint the decorative skirt rosettes silver, once the royal icing is dry.

53.   Gently secure the feet to the inside of the skirt with royal icing so that they point out.

54.   To make bouquets, stick sugar flowers on to long cones of green fondant with royal icing.

55.   Reserve a quarter of the royal icing and colour the rest in shades of blues and greens for the sea.

56.   If liked, wrap the ribbon around the edge of the cake drum, securing on with a little royal icing.

57.   Secure the tails to the bodies of the whales with grey-tinted royal icing and smooth over the joints.

58.   Use royal icing to glue the paper well into the spout.

59.   When the frame is dry, place the royal icing in a piping bag with a medium writing nozzle.

60.   Transfer the hinges and handle, securing with a little royal icing.
