21. Remove from heat, allow pot to cool on stovetop, and when pressure subsides, remove cover and proceed. 22. Remove the cover and add the broth and barley. 23. Remove cover a few minutes near end of cooking time. 24. Remove cover and gradually blend in remaining oil. 25. Remove cover and test the chicken for doneness by cutting a slit to the bone. 26. Remove cover and turn chicken. 27. Remove cover from pan and stir in the cabbage. 28. Remove cover from the pot and continue to simmer soup until the peas have cooked down to a puree. 29.
